Unlike conventional high explosives which has a short self life (measured in months), AutoStem™ transports and stores safely and has a shelf life of eighteen months.

To confine energy in a blast-hole, conventional explosives must be tamped with stemming material. The time saving Dual Self-Stemming™ feature of AutoStem™ eliminates both, the associated risks of tamping live explosives in a borehole and the potential of human error.

The AutoStem™ Cartridge is Waterproof so there is no potential for low or no performance which is generally caused by poor tamping, stemming or water contamination.
